If you want an IUD, we can do it at ELLE. It can be placed if you haven’t given birth before or from 12 weeks postpartum. We’ll give you information about the types of IUDs and advise which is best for you. We first do a short internal gynaecological exam to check your uterus size and position. Placement is quick, followed by an ultrasound to confirm it’s in place. After 6 weeks, we can do a follow-up scan to rule out expulsion.
