Maternity period
The first 10 days after giving birth are called the postpartum period. During this period, we, together with the maternity nurse, support and guide you and the rest of your family.
The maternity nurse will check you and monitor the baby's temperature, color, urination, defecation, and weight. You will be supported in feeding and caring for the baby.
We are medically responsible for the care during the maternity period. We will visit several times to discuss how you, the baby, and your family are doing.
A lot changes physically, emotionally, and socially. You can always reach us by phone with questions.
Read about the period just after giving birth, your baby, and the first weeks.
