Moeders voor Moeders (mothers helping mothers) is an organization that helps couples with fertility problems. They do this by collecting urine from pregnant women. This urine contains the fertility hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). Only the hCG hormone can create a drug that stimulates ovulation, which may be necessary to get pregnant.
Why is this urine needed?
Today, about one in six couples experience fertility problems. Fertility treatments can significantly increase the chances of pregnancy for them. In such treatments, doctors use, among other things, a drug that contains the hCG hormone.
When can you join?
It is essential to register as soon as possible. Only in the first four months of pregnancy does your urine contain enough hCG. You can register from the moment you are overdue up to and including the 11th week of pregnancy. You can participate up to and including the 16th week of pregnancy.
